4:1 [hgb] 亲 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 一 切 的 灵 ， 你 们 不 可 都 信 。 总 要 试 验 那 些 灵 是 出 于 神 的 不 是 。 因 为 世 上 有 许 多 假 先 知 已 经 出 来 了 。
[kjv] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
[bbe] My loved ones, do not put your faith in every spirit, but put them to the test, to see if they are from God: because a great number of false prophets have gone out into the world. (博讯 boxun.com)
4:2 [hgb] 凡 灵 认 耶 稣 基 督 是 成 了 肉 身 来 的 ， 就 是 出 于 神 的 。 从 此 你 们 可 以 认 出 神 的 灵 来 。
[kjv] Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
[bbe] By this you may have knowledge of the Spirit of God: every spirit which says that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God:
4:3 [hgb] 凡 灵 不 认 耶 稣 ， 就 不 是 出 于 神 。 这 是 那 敌 基 督 者 的 灵 。 你 们 从 前 听 见 他 要 来 。 现 在 已 经 在 世 上 了 。
[kjv] And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
[bbe] And every spirit which does not say this is not from God: this is the spirit of Antichrist, of which you have had word; and it is in the world even now.
4:4 [hgb] 小 子 们 哪 ， 你 们 是 属 神 的 ， 并 且 胜 了 他 们 。 因 为 那 在 你 们 里 面 的 ， 比 那 在 世 界 上 的 更 大 。
[kjv] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
[bbe] You are of God, my little children, and you have overcome them because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
4:5 [hgb] 他 们 是 属 世 界 的 。 所 以 论 世 界 的 事 ， 世 人 也 听 从 他 们 。
[kjv] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
[bbe] They are of the world, so their talk is the world's talk, and the world gives ear to them.
4:6 [hgb] 我 们 是 属 神 的 。 认 识 神 的 就 听 从 我 们 。 不 属 神 的 就 不 听 从 我 们 。 从 此 我 们 可 以 认 出 真 理 的 灵 ， 和 谬 妄 的 灵 来 。
[kjv] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
[bbe] We are of God: he who has the knowledge of God gives ear to us; he who is not of God does not give ear to us. By this we may see which is the true spirit, and which is the spirit of error.
4:7 [hgb] 亲 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 我 们 应 当 彼 此 相 爱 。 因 为 爱 是 从 神 来 的 。 凡 有 爱 心 的 ， 都 是 由 神 而 生 ， 并 且 认 识 神 。
[kjv] Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
[bbe] My loved ones, let us have love for one another: because love is of God, and everyone who has love is a child of God and has knowledge of God.
4:8 [hgb] 没 有 爱 心 的 ， 就 不 认 识 神 。 因 为 神 就 是 爱 。
[kjv] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
[bbe] He who has no love has no knowledge of God, because God is love.
4:9 [hgb] 神 差 他 独 生 子 到 世 间 来 ， 使 我 们 借 着 他 得 生 ， 神 爱 我 们 的 心 ， 在 此 就 显 明 了 。
[kjv] In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
[bbe] And the love of God was made clear to us when he sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him.
4:10 [hgb] 不 是 我 们 爱 神 ， 乃 是 神 爱 我 们 ， 差 他 的 儿 子 ， 为 我 们 的 罪 作 了 挽 回 祭 ， 这 就 是 爱 了 。
[kjv] Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
[bbe] And this is love, not that we had love for God, but that he had love for us, and sent his Son to be an offering for our sins.
4:11 [hgb] 亲 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 神 既 是 这 样 爱 我 们 ， 我 们 也 当 彼 此 相 爱 。
[kjv] Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
[bbe] My loved ones, if God had such love for us, it is right for us to have love for one another.
4:12 [hgb] 从 来 没 有 人 见 过 神 。 我 们 若 彼 此 相 爱 ， 神 就 住 在 我 们 里 面 ， 爱 他 的 心 在 我 们 里 面 得 以 完 全 了 。
[kjv] No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
[bbe] No man has ever seen God: if we have love for one another, God is in us and his love is made complete in us:
4:13 [hgb] 神 将 他 的 灵 赐 给 我 们 ， 从 此 就 知 道 我 们 是 住 在 他 里 面 ， 他 也 住 在 我 们 里 面 。
[kjv] Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
[bbe] And his Spirit which he has given us is the witness that we are in him and he is in us.
4:14 [hgb] 父 差 子 作 世 人 的 救 主 ， 这 是 我 们 所 看 见 且 作 见 证 的 。
[kjv] And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
[bbe] And we have seen and give witness that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
4:15 [hgb] 凡 认 耶 稣 为 神 儿 子 的 ， 神 就 住 在 他 里 面 ， 他 也 住 在 神 里 面 。
[kjv] Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
[bbe] Everyone who says openly that Jesus is the Son of God, has God in him and is in God.
4:16 [hgb] 神 爱 我 们 的 心 ， 我 们 也 知 道 也 信 。 神 就 是 爱 。 住 在 爱 里 面 的 ， 就 是 住 在 神 里 面 ， 神 也 住 在 他 里 面 。
[kjv] And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
[bbe] And we have seen and had faith in the love which God has for us. God is love, and everyone who has love is in God, and God is in him.
4:17 [hgb] 这 样 爱 在 我 们 里 面 得 以 完 全 ， 我 们 就 可 以 在 审 判 的 日 子 ， 坦 然 无 惧 。 因 为 他 如 何 ， 我 们 在 这 世 上 也 如 何 。
[kjv] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
[bbe] In this way love is made complete in us, so that we may be without fear on the day of judging, because as he is, so are we in this world.
4:18 [hgb] 爱 里 没 有 惧 怕 。 爱 既 完 全 ， 就 把 惧 怕 除 去 。 因 为 惧 怕 里 含 着 刑 罚 。 惧 怕 的 人 在 爱 里 未 得 完 全 。
[kjv] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
[bbe] There is no fear in love: true love has no room for fear, because where fear is, there is pain; and he who is not free from fear is not complete in love.
4:19 [hgb] 我 们 爱 ， 因 为 神 先 爱 我 们 。
[kjv] We love him, because he first loved us.
[bbe] We have the power of loving, because he first had love for us.
4:20 [hgb] 人 若 说 ， 我 爱 神 ， 却 恨 他 的 弟 兄 ， 就 是 说 谎 话 的 。 不 爱 他 所 看 见 的 弟 兄 ， 就 不 能 爱 没 有 看 见 的 神 。 （ 有 古 卷 作 怎 能 爱 没 有 看 见 的 神 呢 ） 。
[kjv] If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
[bbe] If a man says, I have love for God, and has hate for his brother, his words are false: for how is the man who has no love for his brother whom he has seen, able to have love for God whom he has not seen?
4:21 [hgb] 爱 神 的 ， 也 当 爱 弟 兄 ， 这 是 我 们 从 神 所 受 的 命 令 。
[kjv] And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
[bbe] And this is the word which we have from him, that he who has love for God is to have the same love for his brother.
5:1 [hgb] 凡 信 耶 稣 是 基 督 的 ， 都 是 从 神 而 生 。 凡 爱 生 他 之 神 的 ， 也 必 爱 从 神 生 的 。
[kjv] Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
[bbe] Everyone who has faith that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God: and everyone who has love for the Father has love for his child.
5:2 [hgb] 我 们 若 爱 神 ， 又 遵 守 他 的 诫 命 ， 从 此 就 知 道 我 们 爱 神 的 儿 女 。
[kjv] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
[bbe] In this way, we are certain that we have love for the children of God, when we have love for God and keep his laws.
5:3 [hgb] 我 们 遵 守 神 的 诫 命 ， 这 就 是 爱 他 了 。 并 且 他 的 诫 命 不 是 难 守 的 。
[kjv] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
[bbe] For loving God is keeping his laws: and his laws are not hard.
5:4 [hgb] 因 为 凡 从 神 生 的 ， 就 胜 过 世 界 。 使 我 们 胜 了 世 界 的 ， 就 是 我 们 的 信 心 。
[kjv] For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
[bbe] Anything which comes from God is able to overcome the world: and the power by which we have overcome the world is our faith.
5:5 [hgb] 胜 过 世 界 的 是 谁 呢 ？ 不 是 那 信 耶 稣 是 神 儿 子 的 吗 ？
[kjv] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
[bbe] Who is able to overcome the world but the man who has faith that Jesus is the Son of God?
5:6 [hgb] 这 借 着 水 和 血 而 来 的 就 是 耶 稣 基 督 。 不 是 单 用 水 ， 乃 是 用 水 又 用 血 。
[kjv] This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
[bbe] This is he who came by water and by blood, Jesus Christ; not by water only but by water and by blood.
5:7 [hgb] 并 且 有 圣 灵 作 见 证 ， 因 为 圣 灵 就 是 真 理 。
[kjv] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
[bbe] And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is true.
5:8 [hgb] 作 见 证 的 原 来 有 三 ， 就 是 圣 灵 ， 水 ， 与 血 。 这 三 样 也 都 归 于 一 。
[kjv] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
[bbe] There are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood: and all three are in agreement.
5:9 [hgb] 我 们 既 领 受 人 的 见 证 ， 神 的 见 证 更 该 领 受 了 。 （ 该 领 受 原 文 作 大 ） 。 因 神 的 见 证 ， 是 为 他 儿 子 作 的 。
[kjv] If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
[bbe] If we take the witness of men to be true, the witness of God is greater: because this is the witness which God has given about his Son.
5:10 [hgb] 信 神 儿 子 的 ， 就 有 这 见 证 在 他 心 里 。 不 信 神 的 ， 就 是 将 神 当 作 说 谎 的 。 因 不 信 神 为 他 儿 子 作 的 见 证 。
[kjv] He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
[bbe] He who has faith in the Son of God has the witness in himself: he who has not faith in God makes him false, because he has not faith in the witness which God has given about his Son.
5:11 [hgb] 这 见 证 ， 就 是 神 赐 给 我 们 永 生 ， 这 永 生 也 是 在 他 儿 子 里 面 。
[kjv] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
[bbe] And his witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
5:12 [hgb] 人 有 了 神 的 儿 子 就 有 生 命 。 没 有 神 的 儿 子 就 没 有 生 命 。
[kjv] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
[bbe] He who has the Son has the life; he who has not the Son of God has not the life.
5:13 [hgb] 我 将 这 些 话 写 给 你 们 信 奉 神 儿 子 之 名 的 人 ， 要 叫 你 们 知 道 自 己 有 永 生 。
[kjv] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
[bbe] I have put these things in writing for you who have faith in the name of the Son of God, so that you may be certain that you have eternal life.
5:14 [hgb] 我 们 若 照 他 的 旨 意 求 什 么 ， 他 就 听 我 们 。 这 是 我 们 向 他 所 存 坦 然 无 惧 的 心 。
[kjv] And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
[bbe] And we are certain that if we make any request to him which is right in his eyes, he will give ear to us:
5:15 [hgb] 既 然 知 道 他 听 我 们 一 切 所 求 的 ， 就 知 道 我 们 所 求 于 他 的 无 不 得 着 。
[kjv] And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
[bbe] And if we are certain that he gives ear to all our requests, we are equally certain that we will get our requests.
5:16 [hgb] 人 若 看 见 弟 兄 犯 了 不 至 于 死 的 罪 ， 就 当 为 他 祈 求 ， 神 必 将 生 命 赐 给 他 。 有 至 于 死 的 罪 ， 我 不 说 当 为 这 罪 祈 求 。
[kjv] If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
[bbe] If a man sees his brother doing a sin which is not bad enough for death, let him make a prayer to God, and God will give life to him whose sin was not bad enough for death. There is a sin whose punishment is death: I do not say that he may make such a request then.
5:17 [hgb] 凡 不 义 的 事 都 是 罪 。 也 有 不 至 于 死 的 罪 。
[kjv] All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
[bbe] All evil-doing is sin: but death is not the punishment for every sort of sin.
5:18 [hgb] 我 们 知 道 凡 从 神 生 的 必 不 犯 罪 。 从 神 生 的 必 保 守 自 己 ， （ 有 古 卷 作 那 从 神 生 的 必 保 护 他 ） ， 那 恶 者 也 就 无 法 害 他 。
[kjv] We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
[bbe] We are certain that one who is a child of God will do no sin, but the Son of God keeps him so that he is not touched by the Evil One.
5:19 [hgb] 我 们 知 道 我 们 是 属 神 的 ， 全 世 界 都 卧 在 那 恶 者 手 下 。
[kjv] And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
[bbe] We are certain that we are of God, but all the world is in the power of the Evil One.
5:20 [hgb] 我 们 也 知 道 神 的 儿 子 已 经 来 到 ， 且 将 智 慧 赐 给 我 们 ， 使 我 们 认 识 那 位 真 实 的 ， 我 们 也 在 那 位 真 实 的 里 面 ， 就 是 在 他 儿 子 耶 稣 基 督 里 面 。 这 是 真 神 ， 也 是 永 生 。
[kjv] And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
[bbe] And we are certain that the Son of God has come, and has given us a clear vision, so that we may see him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
5:21 [hgb] 小 子 们 哪 ， 你 们 要 自 守 ， 远 避 偶 像 。
[kjv] Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
[bbe] My little children, keep yourselves from false gods.
