'Streptococcosis Suis' Update
(Aug. 23, 2005)After silent about disease development in Sichuan, government announced that Sichuan's Streptococcosis Suis did not have new infections in 16 days - from August 4 to August 20.
On August 22, Guangdong government said there were four infections in this province. One recovered, one dead, two still in hospital. It said the four infections occured in FOUR different cities, i.e. one patient one city.
It did not say when the disease started, this is obviously a delayed information to public.
