I have mentioned by my last article, the successive Burmese military regimes have accused all the opponents and dissidents by filling the same formulated form:"Under the guise of ??????????????? (fill up), these people have been trying to disrupt country's peace and stability by attempting to create unrest and heading towards the disintegration of national unity"
To our Burmse Students Union established in 1968, the regime accused us that under the guise of establishment of Burmese Students Union in Germany, these people have been trying to disrupt country's peace and stability by attempting to create unrest and heading towards the disintegration of national unity"
To our student annual "Fighting Peacock" (Khut Daung), the military regime accused us that under the guise of publication of Khut Daung in 1968 in Germany, these people have been trying to disrupt country's peace and stability by attempting to create unrest and heading towards the disintegration of national unity"
We ask the military regime 3 questions:
1. Why are you so afraid of our Burmese Students Union which consists of only some ten students ?
2。Why are you so uneasy as if sitting on pins and niddles? You arrested and deported our 4 leaders, chairman, vice chairman, secretary and treasury, from East Berlin via Moscow to Rangoon, are you ashamed to see the students on world? Do you think that you arrested the four leaders, then the other students will kneel down before you?
3。Why could you not stand our 1968 Burmese Dance Show in Germany? there is a far distance of 10 thousand km between our dance performance and you . Had we disturbed your evil dream in Rangoon? Is it a crime that we introduce our Burmese culture to the western people? Or our promotion of Burmese culture uncovers your wildness?
We admit that our "Fighting Peacock"always denounces you: e.g. condemning you to have massacred ethnic nationalities everyday.
e.g. be overrwhelmed with indignation that you have brought disaster to the country and people, converting our rich Burma into one of the poorest countries.
e.g. be furious that you junta master only at killing and destroying .
e.g. denouncing that you Generals believe only " the political power comes out of the guns".
We speak the truth, so you donot want to listen. But you know we denounce you only once a year as our Fighting Peacock Magazine is annual. You are guilty of crimes for which even death is insufficient punishment. You can not accept our blame even only once a year?!
You seized the power on 2-3-1962 by a coup and we demonstrated on 7-7-1962in our campus of Rangoon University. You dared to send the troop to ourcampus shooting us dead and wounded and drove all the undead ( like me)home.You fascist butchers!
We recollect too, we went to streets to demonstrate for domestic peace and democratic new Burma. You at once ordered to close all our universities and expelthe student-leaders out of university for ever.
At that time you declared arbitrarily by radio broadcast, "we use swordsagainst swords, guns against guns to the agitators"
On 8-8-1988, our younger students in Burma, being beyond all bearing, swarmed to streets for democracy.You fascist butchers ordered your army to gunfire them, resulting thousands and thousands people dead and wounded.Your soldiers even gang-raped the female-students!
We are indeeds sheeps and you kill and cut us as you like.
Are we not killed and cut by you at will? Look! Ko Ko Gyi, vice chairmanof the All Burma Federation of Students' Unions，was arrested in 1991 andreleased few days ago by you.
Accusation?-- "Under the guise of protesting together with university students,he has been trying to disrupt country's peace and stability by attempting to create unrest and heading towards the disintegration of national unity" .
You junta sentenced him at first 20 years' imprisonment, later you found it unreasonable and reduced automatically to 10 years. When the release day comes, you find it not so good to you, so you extended the detention by applying your Security Act 10A. Recently you find his attending the National Convention is good for your propaganda (He himself believes that it is good for the country and people), so you freed him . When he went home, he found his mother had passed away. People asked him if he had been tortured in the jail, he replied merely, " Let bygone be bygone!".
