ARE THERE THREE GOVERNMENTS IN BURMA?

Burma's junta and the state-own press declared recently that Maung Maung, the secretary of the exiled Federation of Trade Unions-Burma, or FTUB, was attempting to form another parallel government to rival the NCGUB£¬in order to become premier ,getting international contracts and aid....... . It is a shadow play of the junta. In fact, Maung Maung, leader of FTUB, was elected in 2004 secretary of the National Coalition of the Union of Burma. All nonsense are the reports alleging that Maung Maung have tried hard "for the Prime Minister post in his parallel government.", "for the
international contacts and aid" etc.
NCUB and NCGUB are two strong anti-regime forces.
Nationalities Coalition of the Union of Burma or NCUB is an umbrella organization composed of the political opposition as well as ethnic-based and armed groups in exile, they have been mainly struggling for the equal right of all nationalties.
The National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma or NCGUB, was formed in exile in October 1990. All these elected parliamentary members are led by Prime Minister Dr Sein Win, the first cousin of NLD leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
Home and abroad of Burma know well, the ruling military government refused to recognize the NLD's landslide victory in the May 1990 election. The dictatorial junta has ordered to close down all NLD offices and arrested all unobeyed elected parliamentary members.
The military regime spread the above unreal information aiming at splitting ,disintegrating and attacking the opposition forces and fooling the people.
However, the false information is a double-edge sword, which too, expose to the peoples of Burma and the world the following 3 facts:
1. the military junta illegally occupied the state power for 15 years, being an illegitimate regime.
2.Apart from the internal power struggle and biting each other, the junta is besieged now on all sides by the democratic forces and ethnic forces.
3.There exist in Burma 3 main forces: The military regime, the democratic force and the ethnic force. None can swallow the others.
Just because of these reasons, UN and the International community urge the junta to hold tri-partite conference for national reconciliation. They point out that the constitution-drafting convention will not reprensent the people and its resolution unprepresent the people's will , only because the attending "representatives"are illegimitate.
Among 1076 socalled "people's representatives",1000 are junta's
handpicked puppets, many of the rest are the "forced representatives", without freedom of speaking and acting. The main opposition forces, the democratic force led by Aung San Suu Kyi and the strong ethnic forces,which represent more than 90% people, have not been invited.
Therefore, UN, EU, U.S.A, ASEAN call on the junta to RELEASE at once and without conditions
--Aung San Suu Kyi, U Tin Oo etc democratic leaders
--Arrested ethnic leaders of Shan, Karen, Kachin, Chin, Mon etc who fight for equal rights of all nationalities.
--All political prisoners
They point out that only broadly inviting representatives of all nationalities and all parties, the convention will be national and the drafting constitution will be popular.
