Is UN on evil side?

(Feb. 08, 2005)On Jan. 11, one young man from China, Bai Zhenxia, tried to commit suicide by cutting his throat outside UN headquarter in New York. Before that, he has protested China government destroyed his home many days outside UN. His voice was ignored by UN.

UN's ignorance is not surprising if people still remember UN human right committee appointed Liberia as the Chairman of that committee. During War, refugees would go to red cross or any organization they thought could be helpful. In the peaceful time, refugees of a powerful country – China is helpless, at least helpless before UN.

Boxun just received report that a man who escaped China because of political reason tried to apply protect from UN's refugee office in Asia. The second day, he received warning from Chinese embassy, he was warned that his application would not be approved. Average people would be curious why Chinese embassy learned his application so quickly. Everything moved as the warning. A few months passed, UN did not process his application. (boxun.com)

The person moved from his apartment, as he found suspicious men around his apartment, that means his address was released too.

Keep in mind: this article does not conclude UN is the one leaks information.

Who does UN should protect? Or give help?

Mr. Lu Decheng, one of the three young men threw ink to Mao's picture in Tiananmen square in 1989, is now in the jail of Thailand. All of them were sentenced, one of them was tortured and became mentally ill or mad. Mr. Lu escaped China last year and went to Thailand. Mr. Lu was ended in jail of Thailand because of illegal immigration. We can understand it as Mr. Lu does not have UN's protection.

Mr. Lu will be released within a week, news reported that he would be sent back to China if no third country accepts him. Mr. Lu threatened to commit suicide if he has to go back to China. His decision is understandable, to go back to jail, the life may be so hard that most people rather die. (boxun.com)
