Tighter control on political publishing materials before 16th Party Congress
(Aug. 07, 2002) Vice director of Publishing Bureau Guo Yiqiang asked to tighten control on politcal publishments before 16th Party Congress in this fall.
Guo mentioned to pay attention to illegal publishments: the books discussing national leaders and those information sent to overseas web site.
The books that describe corrupted officcials are classified to be restricted too, as they affect the image of government officials.
From this month, a three month compaign will be started around the country, those distributing these publishments will be punished seriously.
