This letter is a response to Taiwan president's independence speaches on August 3rd.

   The letter says that it can hardly believe that Taiwan has very small percentage of people want to be independent. As Chen Shuibian is promoting "vote for independence", if there is only "small percentage" favour independence, why does Chen Shuibian promotes such a move?

   This letter complains that the government and media have hidden the truth of what Taiwan people really think. In the letter, Jiang Zemin is challenged to explain: 1, why have the media cheating people on this matter; 2, if most people in Taiwan favor independence, who should be responsible for it?

   The letter was issued undr the name of Zheng Yijian, in represent of all students staying in Beijing University in this summer.
